• One of the biggest attractions in Parma is the 18-hole Ridgewood Golf Course. Designed by Sandy Alves in 1924, the facility covers 6,074 yards and has a course rating of 68.6. A season pass for resident adults is $675, while non-residents must pay $800. For out-of-towners looking for a just a single 18-hole round, it costs $26 on a weekday and $28 on a weekend. The Ridgewood Golf Course is open from March until November and features its own pro shop and clubhouse.

Catch a Movie

• In business since 1936, the old-school Parma Theatre boasts the lowest prices of all the first-run theatres in the entire Cleveland area. General admission is only $4.50 from Monday through Thursday and for matinee shows on the weekend. The price goes up to $6.50 for weekend evening showings. There are three screens with a different film showing on each. A full snack bar is located in the lobby. Important note: the Parma Theatre only accepts cash.

Hit the Gym

• The health and fitness center Fitworks has several locations throughout Ohio. The Parma location is filled with the latest cardio workout machines, such as exercise bikes and treadmills, along with an abundance of weight-lifting equipment. There's also an area called the "Playland," where kids can have fun while parents work out. Fitworks is open from 5 a.m. to at least 10 p.m. every weekday and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the weekends. It offers month-to-month membership deals for $19,95 a month, as well as a free 7-day trial. Fitworks is right across the street from Dick's Sporting Goods.

• Red Circle Bar & Lanes‎ is Parma's bar, grill and bowling alley combo. Located on State Road, the establishment also serves up breakfast until 11:30 a.m. and hamburgers and sandwiches all day. Red Circle offers specials on both drinks, such as "beer of the month," and bowling, including a flat fee of $25 for three hours worth. The venue has 12 lanes, as well as a pool table, Keno and seven flat screen TVs.
