Polish Restaurants in Baltimore

Home to U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski and several hundred-thousand Polish Americans, it is little wonder Baltimore boasts an impressive array of Polish cuisine. From the Polish sausage sandwiches of Polock Johnny's, to the Rosemary Pesto Lamb of Ze Mean Bean, Polish cuisine is a hearty mix of meat, eggs, cream and winter vegetables, such as cabbage, carrots, sweet potatoes and butternut squash. Though according to Polish tradition, entree meals are enjoyed in the late afternoon, these restaurants typically serve entrees from 11 a.m. through the late evening hours, in addition to breakfast and weekend brunches.
  1. Polock Johnny's

    • Polock Johnny's, located in downtown Baltimore, specializes in hand-cut fries and jumbo Polish sausage sandwiches with sauerkraut. Though ketchup is available at Polock Johnny's, it is looked down upon when applied to sausage. Mustard, on the other hand, is a traditionally acceptable addition to these massive hot-dog sandwiches. Breakfast, served Monday through Saturday until 11 a.m., features omelets, egg platters, and the Muffinski breakfast sandwich, comprised of an egg, sausage and cheese on an English muffin.
