Myrtle Beach, SC is a great vacation destination! I lived there for three years. Here are some fun and inexpensive things to do while visiting aside from the big attractions.

Relax on the beach all day. There are various places where you can rent an umbrella for the day. Take a break from the beach and walk along Ocean Blvd. Make sure you take a look around "The Gay Dolphin". It is seriously the largest gift shop I have ever seen! It's air conditioned, too!

There are two haunted houses located on Ocean Blvd. Nightmare and Ripley's. These are both VERY scary. Both my sister and sister-in-law freaked out and didn't even make it through the door. It's also fun to watch the people riding the "Slingshot" nearby. There's a video camera placed on their faces.

Walk around Broadway At The Beach or Barefoot Landing. Each place has fireworks once a week during the summer. Broadway At The Beach also has a nice mini golf place, a carousel, an aquarium, a movie theater and a lot of other neat stuff to do. This is also where the best night life can be found. If you're into nightlife, make sure you visit "Crocodile Rocks" otherwise known as "The Dueling Pianos". It's my favorite place. Tickets are $10 and includes admission to "Revolutions" - a dance club that features 70's, 80's, 90's and today's music.

The best mini golf place in Myrtle Beach is "Atlantis". It was placed inside an old parking garage and is a maze of fun. The best burgers are from "Five Guys".

Don't overlook Conway which is right next door to Myrtle Beach. You can get cheap tickets to awesome shows at "The Theater of The Republic" located on Main St. There's also a great place to go kayaking - "Conway Kayak Company".
