"Southeast Mountain" vs. "Rocky Range": Which Isn't a Region?

"Southeast Mountain" is not a recognized geographic region.

The Rocky Range is a subrange of the Rocky Mountains—the major cordillera spanning western North America from Canada to New Mexico.

"Southeast Mountain" might colloquially describe peaks in the southeastern U.S. (e.g., Blue Ridge, Great Smokies), but it's not a formal physiographic province.
