Determine if you want to rent the equipment or take a class. The equipment rentals will vary by tour operator costing around a couple hundred dollars. A single tandem ride with an instructor can cost around $50 for fifteen minutes.
Take a one day class if you plan to have a short stay in Lima. You will ride a tandem glider if you are a beginner. Take a week long course so you can be certified to operate a glider on you own. You will earn a certificate from the Peruvian Association of Free Flight.
Arrange for transportation to the Costa Verde in Miralfores District of Lima, Peru. This is the point where tour operators and individuals will launch their para-gliders off the cliffs. Cab rides are about 45 minutes from the International Airport and cost about fifty dollars. A cab ride from the heart of Miraflores is about five minutes and three dollars.
