Line dancing is an excellent way to have fun, get exercise and make new friends. The United Kingdom has quickly caught on to the country music craze started in the United States. Despite its reputation for all things proper, the city of London is home to numerous authentic country dance clubs.

    • Located in South London, Boots 'N Blisters Line Dance Club is a favorite with country music dance fans. Boots 'N Blisters has been featured on several popular UK television shows such as the Graham Norton Show and the Disney Channel and was named UK Club Of The Year by Linedancer Magazine’s Crystal Boot Awards in 2003. Boots 'N Blisters caters to all levels of country music and line dance enthusiasts and offers classes on Monday and Wednesday nights for both newcomers to line dancing as well as more advanced dancers. Each Friday night, Boots N Blisters features disco dancing with music from some of London's hottest DJs. Admission as of June 2010 was £5 per person.

    Time Zone Club

    • Located in the heart of London, Timezone Line Dance Club is the perfect spot for those who are beginners at line dancing as well as more advanced dancers. On Tuesday nights, Timezone Line Dance Club offers a one hour class designed especially for those who are beginners to line dancing that demonstrates the basics, such as turns and steps. Afterward, the club is opened to the public where the more seasoned dancers can show off their moves while dancing to some of the hottest tunes in country music. As of June 2010, admission for the evening was £4. There is also an additional beginners class, which is held each Thursday from 1 PM to 3 PM. Admission for the Thursday class was £5 per person.

    Love This Bar

    • Formerly known as Outlaws and Sinners, "I Love This Bar UK" is known for its tradition of line dancing to nothing but traditional country music. Love This Bar offers newcomers introductory classes that teach the basics of line dancing, such as steps and turns, and gradually progress to more advanced moves such as the two step. The cost of admission as of June 2010 was £5 per person. Doors open two Thursdays per month at 8:30 PM and close at 11:30 PM.
