What is sweet and sour king prawn balls Hong Kong style?

Ingredients

* 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

* 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

* 1/4 cup cornstarch

* 1 teaspoon salt

* 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

* 1 egg, beaten

* 1/2 cup vegetable oil

* 1/2 cup chopped onion

* 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper

* 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper

* 1/4 cup ketchup

* 1/4 cup rice vinegar

* 1/4 cup sugar

* 1 tablespoon soy sauce

* 1 teaspoon cornstarch, dissolved in 1 tablespoon water

* 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat.

2. Add the egg and toss to coat.

3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

4. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

5. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

6. Add the onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, or until softened.

7. Add the ketchup, rice vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce to the skillet and bring to a boil.

8. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.

9. Add the dissolved cornstarch and sesame oil to the skillet and stir to combine.

10. Add the shrimp back to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.

11. Serve immediately with jasmine rice.
