Five States Bordering New York

New York State shares borders with five states:

1. Vermont (east)
2. Massachusetts (east)
3. Connecticut (southeast)
4. Pennsylvania (south)
5. New Jersey (south)

It also borders the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec to the north, and touches the Atlantic Ocean via Long Island Sound and the Atlantic coast.
