East Bay is a section of the San Francisco Bay area that encompasses several dozen cities in Alameda and Contra Costra counties, notably Berkeley, Brentwood, Oakland and Union City. It is comprised primarily of secluded residential neighborhoods which act as bedroom communities to both the San Francisco and Oakland metro areas. In addition to several upscale shopping centers and golf clubs, several restaurants are located in and around East Bay.
La Strada has an expansive dining room decorated in warm earthen tones, like an authentic trattoria. Murals of the Tuscan countryside and a large fireplace greet diners for lunch and dinner daily. A private dining room is also available for parties or business events. Berkeley's contemporary styled Hana Japan Steakhouse offers pan-Asian cuisine daily for lunch and dinner. Several tables surround flat hibachi grills for diners who want their meal prepared Teppanyaki style. Other tables overlook the boats of Berkeley Marina.
