The Grapevine area has a number of fine wineries where visitors can go to watch the winemaking process, taste the delicious wines and buy some Texas wines to take home. Photographers can find plenty of photo opportunities at the various wineries, which include the Delaney Vineyards, D'Vine Wine, Farina's, Homestead Wine and La Buena. Special photo options exist at the Cross Timbers Winery with its historic tasting room, one of Grapevine's 10-oldest structures. In addition to the scenic photos of the wineries' wine-making facilities and tasting rooms, photographers can take photos of the actual wine-making process during the winery tours.
Photographers may enjoy a visit to Grapevine's Rockledge Park. Opportunities abound for photographers to take pictures along the shores of Lake Grapevine with its steep banks and cliffs, sparkling waters and natural beauty. The Rockledge Park trail offers further picture-perfect scenes of the flora and fauna of the central Texas region.
History buffs can take pictures at some of Grapevine's historical sites. The locations, which span Grapevine's development from a small Southwestern town of the 1800s to a thriving metropolitan area in the 21st century include the Heritage Center, Nash Historical Farms, Grapevine Vintage Railroad, a blacksmith shop, art galleries and the Grapevine historical museum. Photographers who want to photograph a more recent historical site may go to the Deco Palace, a 1940s-era Arts Center in downtown Grapevine.
Camera-buffs can take photographs with people and action in Grapevine at one of several Grapevine events. The city of Grapevine facilitates year-round festivals to celebrate national, state, local and special events. Some of Grapevine's festivals include the Main Street Days, Flag Day Festival, GrapeFest, NashFarm, ChocoFest and Butterfly Flutterby. The festivals run in various locations throughout the city. In addition, unique photograph opportunities exist at the Grapevine Opry, a live country music show, which runs year-round at the historic Palace Theatre.
