You can play a round of golf almost year-round on Fairfield Glade's four championship golf courses. You'll find a variety of courses with a total of 90 holes of golf. Whether you prefer to play on mountain vistas or flat land, Fairfield Glade has a golf course that meets your preference. Play on Druid Hills, Dorchester, Heatherhurst or Stonehenge Golf Club, all of which have driving ranges, putting greens and food and beverage service.
In the Community and Conference Center, you can play basketball or challenge friends to a game of tennis or pickleball (a racket game) on one of the four indoor tennis courts or eight outdoor courts.
Fish from the fishing pier in Robinhood Park or go fishing, kayaking or paddle boating on any of Fairfield Glade's 11 lakes. Two of the lakes have a swimming beach. Other outdoor activities you can enjoy are walking or biking along miles of paved walking/biking trails. You can rent a bike for half a day, a full day or for an entire week.
Swim laps in the Community and Conference Center's indoor pool or relax in the hot tub and sauna. Play miniature golf, horseshoes and shuffleboard in Creekwood Mini Golf, which is located in Fairfield Glade's Druid Hills Recreation Area.
The Community and Conference Center also offers arts and crafts classes in the center's Arts & Crafts Center.
Fairfield Glade offers organized sightseeing and shopping tours. Ride a bus that takes you to places such as the Knoxville's Dogwood Trails and Market Square, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, the Burgess Falls & Del Monaco Winery and the Bel Meade Plantation and Lebanon Outlet Mall. You can also attend events on these special bus trips, such as the Intergalactic Bead and Jewelry Show and the annual Hippie Jack's Bluegrass Festival in May. In June and July, buses take groups whitewater rafting in the Ocoee River and tubing in Little River.
Fairfield Glade has two restaurants and a cafe. Residents and guests can dine in Legends at Druid Hills' main dining room or in front of the large-screen television in the restaurant's Fireside Lounge. Watch your favorite sports on flat-screen televisions while enjoying your meal in Stonehenge Grille, a restaurant with a casual atmosphere. If you want lighter fare--such as soups, sandwiches and wraps--you can eat in The Glade Cafe. Take a short drive and you can dine in restaurants a few minutes away in Crossville.
