The courses feature natural landscapes such as rolling sand dunes and natural vegetation to make it both challenging and beautiful.
The Westin Mission Hills Resort is home to the Pete Dye Course, which earned a silver medal from Golf Magazine in the annual listing of top golf destinations. This 18-hole course allows players to enjoy almost 7,000 yards of golf amid a backdrop of water, palms and mountains.

The Palm Springs Art Museum is a vast and diverse art museum that boasts an excellent collection of 19th-century paintings, contemporary art and sculpture. The 125,000-square-foot museum also features an extensive collection of American Indian contemporary arts and crafts.
The Palm Springs Air Museum will dazzle any airplane enthusiast. The museum is home to one of the country's biggest collections of World War II aircraft. Items on display include several models of Grummans, the Boeing B17 Flying Fortress and the Bell P63 Kingcobra.
Ride the Aerial Tramway in Palm Springs. At 8,500 feet up, you will get unforgettable views of Mt. San Jacinto State Park. The tram ride up the mountain takes about 15 minutes. Enjoy a meal at the Top of the Tram Restaurant or take a hike around the more than 54 miles of trails. Rides depart at least every half hour.
Visit the Living Desert at Indian Wells to learn more about the surprising diversity of the desert ecosystem. This 1,200-acre attraction is both a zoo and a botanical observation area that serves as a conservation and educational center. Learn about rare animals such as the Arabian oryx while observing plant exhibitions such as the Agave Garden or the Aloe Garden.
