Enjoying the company of other singles is something you can do at the Shoreline Christian Center (shoreline.net), which has four campuses (North, South, East and West). Singles who are at least 36 years old sit together at the 11 a.m. service on Sundays at the North campus, and meet afterward to socialize. There is a "Lift Young Adults" service for people in their 20s and 30s every Sunday night at that campus as well, and small groups available for singles aged 40 and over. The church also has ministry and volunteer opportunities available for singles.
Westover Hills Church of Christ (westover.org) has a singles ministry called OneWay. The church says its programs and activities are "geared toward where you are in life." A singles Bible study group meets at 10:45 a.m. on Sundays and the church also offers classes, dinners, service projects, worship, trips and fun events just for single people.
Meeting other singles your age is possible at the Great Hills Baptist Church (ghbc.org), which divides singles into three age groups: College Ministry (ages 18 to 24); Single Adult 1 (ages 25 to 39); and Single Adult 2 (ages 40 and over). The College Ministry has a Bible Life class on Sundays at 11:30 a.m. Many of the Single Adult 1 members attend weekly Bible studies in members' homes, where participants "eat, talk, pray and engage in each other's lives." The Single Adult 2 group has an All-Singles Game Night & Grill Out every month.
Helping others who are less fortunate is a great activity to do with a group of people. It makes you feel good about yourself, and helps you to connect with the people you're helping and fellow volunteers. One activity that the Hyde Park Baptist Church (hpbc.org) offers for the Single Adult Ministry is a Baltimore Mission Trip. The group flies to Baltimore to provide a Vacation Bible School, community ministries and lots of prayer. The Single Adult MInistry also has Bible study on Sunday mornings.
