Mount Bonnell is the perfect Austin destination for a romantic picnic. This 785-foot limestone hill overlooking Lake Austin, the surrounding hills and the city of Austin offers one of the cities best vistas. Also known as Covert Park the hill is the highest point in Austin. Mount Bonnell is a short hike from the main road and admission is free.

Bear Creek Stables is located on the outskirts of Austin, less than 10 miles from the heart of downtown Austin. Bear Creek Stables offers romantic guided horse rides through the Bear Creek Stables ranch and into the surrounding areas. Beginners to expert riders are accommodated on these guided rides. Reservations are required. It is recommended that you call two to three days prior to your visit to schedule your guided ride. Bear Creek Stables is open daily.
