Located in north central North Dakota, Minot is a little more than 100 miles north of Bismarck, the capital city of North Dakota. Minot is also home to Minot Air Force Base. The Rockin Horse Lounge is located in downtown Minot, North Dakota and features live music and performance acts weekly. The lounge serves appetizers and alcoholic drinks. The lounge is located next to the North Dakota State Fairgrounds.
The Sevens Bar and Restaurant is located within the Las Vegas Motel in Minot, North Dakota. It features a full-service restaurant and event-planning facility. The facility can be rented out for large parties and events. There is also an atrium on-site that is used for various events, from performances to poker tournaments to boxing matches. Local and regional comedians can host acts here. The Sevens' menu follows a Las Vegas-style theme and offers diners a range of food options from chicken to seafood to salad, soup and beef dishes. The hotel in which Sevens is located offers suites and rooms, as well as a pool, a sauna and a game room.
The 4 Bears Casino is located in New Town, North Dakota, about 70 miles or a 90-minute drive east of Minot. The casino features various musical and other performance acts, including nationally known comedy acts. Comedian Rodney Carrington recently performed at 4 Bears Casino. Carrington has recorded eight comedy albums and starred in a comedy series called "Rodney," which aired on ABC for two seasons. The 4 Bears Casino also features a lounge with live entertainment, table games, slots and a buffet restaurant called Cache. A hotel and RV park are located at 4 Bears Casino, so visitors from Minot and surrounding areas can camp for the night or stay at the hotel without having to drive back after a comedy routine, if desired.
