Vacations in Navarre Beach, Florida

Navarre Beach, located on Northwest Florida's "Emerald Coast," is home to beaches, tourist attractions, and vacation accommodations. While the 12 miles of pure white, sugary sand beaches may be Navarre Beach's best-known attraction, there are plentiful tourist activities for visitors who wish to mix beach relaxation with dining, shopping and sightseeing.

    Animal Attractions

    • About 30 minutes by car from Navarre Beach, Fort Walton's Gulfarium is home to aquatic animals including dolphins, sea otters, sharks, penguins, and dozens of others. Visitors can see the animals perform tricks and interact with the trainers. The 60,000 gallon salt water aquarium holds live corals, salt water fish, and live rock from locations all over the world. The Panhandle Butterfly House exhibits butterflies that are found in the Florida Panhandle. Take in a demonstration of a day in the life of a butterfly, or learn about the butterfly's life cycle. Volunteer master gardeners grow a plethora of brightly colored flowers inside the Butterfly House to keep the butterflies close by. The Panhandle Butterfly House is open from early April until Labor Day each year.

    Accommodations

    • Navarre Beach offers a large and diverse selection of vacation accommodations. Hotels and motels often include special amenities, such as admission to local attractions or meals included with the cost of a room. Regardless of the type of accommodation chosen, prices will generally be at their peak during the summer months when tourists head for the beach. November and December might offer the best vacation rates for Navarre Beach. Temperatures in November often reach 70 degrees, so Navarre Beach is still pleasant in winter.
