Navarre Beach is a community located on Santa Rosa Island, less than an hour from Pensacola. It is known for its white sand beaches and turquoise waters, and offers many activities, shops, restaurants and choices of accommodation for visitors.
Access to Navarre Beach is by car via Pensacola and the Navarre Beach Causeway. The trip from Pensacola takes approximately 40 minutes. A car is necessary while visiting Navarre Beach as there is no public transport in the community.
There is a plethora of things to do in Navarre Beach. Apart from surfing, swimming in the green waters of the Gulf or lazing around on the beach, visitors can also tour nearby Navarre Beach State Park or Gulf Islands National Seashore. Other activities on offer are deep sea fishing, sailing, paragliding, golfing, shopping or taking a nature walk through Navarre Park.
Navarre Beach offers a variety of accommodation, including rental homes, condos and hotels. For those who prefer to rough it, there are also a number of campgrounds in the area.
