Situated in the southwestern town of Parrish, the Florida Railroad Museum launches short train excursions each weekend. The authentic 1940s locomotive runs throughout the surrounding region, with the ride lasting approximately 1 1/2 hours. The train offers special themed events as well, such as the Cotton Tail Special, a Civil War Weekend, a Day out with Thomas, and a Murder Mystery Train. General admission prices for adults are $12 and children, ages three to 11, cost $8. For $175, guests can secure the caboose for private parties or events of up to 16 people.

The Florida Rail Adventures offers four different train excursions, all of which originate from the towns of Eustis or Tavares, situated in the central part of the state. The Evening Star Dinner Train takes place aboard a 1948 dining car, costs $49 per person and ends its run at Lake Jem. The Citrus Sun Excursion Train and the Citrus Sun Lunch Train is a 1 1/2-hour ride through Wooton Park with fares topping out at $18 and $49 respectively. Finally, the Gunfight at the OK Corral includes a 40-minute train ride and a 40-minute reenactment show. Tickets cost $20 for adults, $10 for children.

The railway line also offer seasonal train rides such as Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine's Day themed excursions.
