Founded in 1930, the Cleveland Botanical Garden is a 10-acre garden home to various native and exotic plants. There are 20 specialty gardens located at the Cleveland Botanical Garden, including a rose garden, herb garden and Japanese garden. For kids, the Cleveland Botanical Garden has a special children's garden where kids can climb in a tree house and see frogs, turtles and fish in the garden's pond. The botanical garden also has a café on the property, which serves salad, sandwiches and wraps.

Every year, more than 1 million people visit the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. According to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo website, the 183-acre zoo is home to nearly 3,000 animals, representing 600 animal species around the world. The featured exhibits at the zoo include the Rainforest, Australian Adventure, African Savanna, Northern Trek, Primate, Cat and Aquatics, and Waterfowl Lake.

The Christmas Story House and Museum pays tribute to the 1983 classic Christmas film, "A Christmas Story." The public can receive tours of the house that was used in the film year-round. In 2010, Ian Petrella--the 1980's child actor who played Randy Parker in the film--presented the tours during the summer months. People can also visit the museum across the street, which features original props, costumes and behind-the-scene photographs from the film.
