Though there are no formal accommodation in the Okefenokee National Forest, the towns nearby offer plenty of fine lodging. If you are looking for a rustic weekend away from it all, consider the Pastime Cabins just outside the park's main entrance. If the family loves nature but needs HBO, Best Western is a supporter of the Okefenokee and has locations near the park.
The Okefenokee Pastime Cabin Rentals offer the closest formal accommodations to the Okefenokee National Forest. It is just outside of the parks east entrance, or the main entrance, between the swamp and the St. Mary's River. An all American and yet unconventional couple run the 14 private acres overlooking the vast long pine forests of the Okefenokee. The Okefenokee website describes the Pastime Cabins as "exceptional overnight accommodations by way of clean, cozy, comfortable cabins." In addition to formal accommodations they also offer RV and tent camping. They have water rentals including outfitters, kayaks and canoes and offer shuttle services to and from the park. The amenities include free wireless Internet, laundry facilities, firewood and grills upon request.

Folkston is just east of the Okefenokee National Refuge. It is a deluxe bed and breakfast with only four upscale rooms including private baths and feather beds. Two of the rooms are deluxe featuring king size beds, there's a queen size bed in another room and a family room with two beds that sleeps four. The inn is operated by a local couple and according to their website they have a reputation for great hospitality. Each room is uniquely decorated around at theme. Best Western is a public supporter and sponsor for the Stephen C. Foster State Park located in the middle of the Okefenokee National Forest. The closest Best Western is in Waycross, just nine miles north of the Okefenokee. The town is home to the Southern Forest World and the Okefenokee Heritage Center.
