London, Kentucky is located in the southern part of the state, in Laurel County. It is best known as the city with the first Colonel Harlan Sanders Kentucky Fried Chicken establishment. Cruisin' On Main is a free car show held on the third Saturday of each month from May through September. The event is located in downtown London. Cars allowed to register are street rods and hotrods, muscle cars, rare and special cars, late model cars with three modifications and cars that are over 25 years old.

The World's Chicken Festival Car Show takes place as part of the activities associated with the town's annual celebration of its Kentucky Fried Chicken history. Registration is $15, as of 2010, and trophies are awarded to winners in 10 categories. This event takes place rain or shine and is free to the public. Proceeds go to Shriners Hospital for Children.

Several businesses throughout Laurel County came together and formed Children are Really Special (C.A.R.S.) The C.A.R.S and Kids classic car show is an annual event presented at South Laurel High school in London. One winner wins a thousand dollar cash prize.
