The Midwest states of the U.S. include Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri. Although each state has waterparks, only a few have indoor parks. Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin is the waterpark capital of the world, but there are many other fine indoor waterparks in all eight states in the Midwest that aren't as busy as the indoor parks in Wisconsin Dells.
Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark features 88,000 square feet of water slides, surf simulator, lazy river, climbing walls, kiddie pools, hot springs hot tub and rides. The waterpark has an arcade, snack bars and temperatures of 84 degrees F all year round. The waterpark is attached to the Mountain Grand Lodge and Spa where guestrooms with fireplaces, cable TV, microwave, refrigerator and Austrian and Swiss décor. Everett's Restaurant is located onsite serving American cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Boyne Mountain and Avalanche Bay have an onsite daycare for parents that need a little time away from the kids ages eight months to four years old. A daycare provider can also come to your room.

The Edgewater Resort & Waterpark has over 150,000 gallons of water and a lazy river 400 feet long spread out over 35,000 square feet. Take a ride down the four and a half story Tiki Thriller waterslide or try the tube slide drop, which is a four and a half story swirl waterslide. The indoor waterpark has a kids zone, vortex pool and an arcade with snack bars. The resort has guestrooms that overlook Lake Michigan and the waterpark. There are deluxe rooms, family suites, bunk rooms and tiki suites. Rooms and suites have refrigerators, microwaves, cable TV and high speed Internet. Tiki Tom's Oasis & Grill is the onsite restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Castaway Bay Indoor Waterpark Resort has a 38,000 square foot Caribbean tropical theme waterpark with five story waterslides, inland lagoons, huts, trees, tide pool, tube slides, wave pool, family fun house and kiddie pools. There are snack bars and a 6000 square foot arcade at the indoor waterpark. The resort has guestroom accommodations with private balconies or patios, refrigerator, microwave, room service and cable TV. Mango Mike's is located on the first floor serving a buffet breakfast and TGI Friday's is open for lunch and dinner. A fine dining restaurant, Bay Harbor, is a short drive from the waterpark. Bay Harbor serves dinner and has a children's menu that is available at the check-in desk.
