Whether you're after a waterslide ride, a basketball game in the water or just a relaxing float in an inner tube, any of Iowa's waterparks will provide needed relief from the summer heat.
Baja Splash is an indoor waterpark in the Bridges Bay Resort, which is next to Lake Okoboji. The resort offers free waterpark passes to those renting guest rooms or condos. Additional passes may be purchased at the front desk. Baja Splash offers a variety of features including a 500-gallon dump bucket, waterslides, triple-hoop basketball, and a lily pad water walk. The park is open from May to September.

The Lost Island, a major waterpark located in Waterloo, Iowa, features nine water slides, three tubing areas, and numerous attractions suitable for young children. Slide down the newest attraction, Wailua, a water roller coaster, or take a young child on an adventure through Starfish Cove, a shallow island with miniature slides, spitting fish and giant crabs. The waterpark is open from June through August. Free parking and tube rentals are provided by the park.

Huck's Harbor is a 70,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor waterpark located at the Best Western Pzazz FunCity Hotel in Burlington, Iowa. A 500-gallon dump bucket, 19 waterslides, a monster hot tub, lazy rivers and squirt guns are just a few of the many water attractions. The park also includes golf, laser tag and bowling for those who don't wish to get wet. Hotel guests as well as the general public are welcome.
