The Great Wolf Lodge (greatwolf.com) has several locations throughout the United States, including one in Pocono, Pennsylvania. The indoor water park portion of the lodge includes 14 different water slides, six pools and a lazy river. In addition to these features, the park also offers a water fort, a teen lounge with video games, Internet access and music and an arcade. The Whooping Hollow area is specially designed for smaller guests under 48 inches tall.
Located in Lake Harmony, the Split Rock Resort (splitrockresort.com) features the H2Ooooh! indoor water park, which is comprised of 53,000 square feet of water attractions. The park features water slides appropriate for various age ranges, including faster, steeper rides for older kids and adults, and smaller slides for younger children. The adults can relax in the Lava Springs hot tubs. Guests do not have to stay at the hotel to purchase admission to the water park.
Splash Lagoon (splashlagoon.com) is found in Erie, and consists of an indoor water park connected to several hotels. The park features pools for all ages, numerous water slides, a lazy river and an area designed for small children. The Frog Pond pool is a combination of a child's pool and a jetted tub for the enjoyment of children and adults alike. The Tiki Treehouse also offers wet activities for children of all ages. The Treasure Island Arcade is also available for guests who would rather play outside of the water.
The area has become known for its water parks and several more are in the planning stages. The Camelback Mountain Resort (skicamelback.com) already features an outdoor water park, but as of 2010, has submitted plans for constructing an indoor water park as well. At the site of the closed Summit Resort in Tannersville, plans for the Outback Lodge and Waterpark have been in the works since 2008. Official plans have not been announced as of 2010, but another possible indoor water park is planned for the old Birchwood Resort called the Spa Castle Pocono.
