Medford is the largest city in southern Oregon and acts as a cultural hub for the surrounding area. Interstate 5 runs through the city center, making it a convenient stopping off point between Portland to the north and Sacramento in northern California. Live music venues centered on 6th Street in downtown provide plenty of opportunity to catch bands touring the West Coast. Medford is primarily known for its outdoor pursuits, but this does not mean its nightlife is lacking. Those who have built up an appetite climbing local Roxy Ann Peak will be glad to know many of the city's best bars and clubs also have eating options.
Wet is a large, slickly styled night club with an aquatic theme found in the basement of the Acme Building in downtown. Lighting effects produce an underwater feeling and shimmering material décor enhance the signature theme. A large dance floor and a VIP area with bottle service give this Medford nightclub an exclusive feel. DJ Zeem is the resident DJ and plays a smooth mix of R&B, hip-hop and chart hits. VJs keep a lively mix of the latest music videos going throughout the night. Turn up early to avoid cover charges.

Italian food and a stylish decor characterize this club in the heart of downtown. Modern, angular furniture and muted brown fabrics create a refined atmosphere. As of August 2010, food is served until 9 p.m. and after 10 p.m., the venue turns into a nightclub with more attention on cocktails and music. Retro and alternative music gets played on Thursday nights. Friday and Saturday nights host a mixture of urban, hip-hop and top 40 dance hits for the weekend crowd.

Ground Zero is a dark, moody brickwork club and music venue with a large 500+ capacity. Low lighting and a cavernous dance floor and audience area make this the place to see rock and indie bands that characterize the Ground Zero theme. Music is the focus but several pool tables and seating around the edges of the venue provide the opportunity to drink and relax when bands are not on the stage. Friday evening sees the club put on its regular comedy night.
