Ski Resorts in Western Michigan

Western Michigan gets some of the heaviest snowfall in the state. The western edge of the state lies on the shore of Lake Michigan, so lake-effect snow piles up to 100 inches or more every year. With so much snow, western Michigan is an ideal place to downhill ski and snowboard during the winter months.
