Each year, snowfall totals in Minnesota average 36 inches in the southwest region of the state to more than 70 inches in the northeast. With all of that snow and more than 20,000 miles of groomed trails, snowmobiling is a popular activity in Minnesota. You’ll find many four-season resorts that cater to snowmobilers during the winter, offering easy access to thousands of miles of trails.
Located roughly 200 miles northeast of Minneapolis, the Wildwood Resort is in one of the state’s prime snowmobiling regions. From your cabin you can connect to the nearby Bushwacker Trail in just a few minutes. From there, you can tie into the county trail system as well as the Taconite Trail that links the entire northern part of the state. After a day on the trails, head back to the resort, which features two-, three- and four-bedroom cabins that sleep up to 12 people. All cabins have a gas fireplace, cable television and kitchen with stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. Bed linens, dishes and cookware are provided.
