The coastal Georgia city of Tybee Island is a quaint community located at the mouth of the Savannah River along the Atlantic Ocean. Several casual dining choices abound, with many restaurants serving up fresh coastal oysters in a variety of ways. With oysters come other local options, such as shrimp, crawfish and crab, best eaten outdoors on humid nights.
Located just a short distance off the Atlantic Ocean, Bernie's is where people go for oysters on the half-shell or a self-shucking bucket. Fried oyster po' boys or oyster baskets are also available, as well as a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches. Crawfish, crabcakes and shrimp round out the seafood menu.
