Park Slope is arguably the most picturesque neighborhood in Brooklyn. With tree-lined streets abutting brownstone row houses, it is the perfect setting for a neighborhood bar, which is what 4th Ave Pub is at heart. Yet, it boasts reasonable prices, 28 beers on tap, more than 50 types of bottled beers (domestic microbrews and imported) and free popcorn, a beer lover's dream.

Also located in Williamsburg, Rose is primarily a music club, but for those who may be less musically inclined, it is still a great place to be. Live music is in a semi-separate room in the back of the bar, and there is seating in the front room (where the bar is located) for those who want to talk. DJs spin when bands don't play, and there is a full restaurant in the basement that serves "new Mediterranean" fare, according to the website. Rose is one of the hottest venues in Williamsburg for live music.
