What Airlines Go to Hawaii

Several airlines connect the islands of Hawaii to cities within the United States, as well as cities in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific region. Domestic and international airlines provide non-stop flights to Honolulu, Maui, and other Hawaiian islands and cities. As of 2011, five airports in the state service flights to and from destinations outside Hawaii.
  1. Hilo International Airport

    • As of February 2011, Hilo International Airport is only served by Go! and Hawaiian Airlines with flights within Hawaii. Starting in June 2011, United Airlines will begin flights to Los Angeles and San Francisco from Hilo. The airport is found on the east side of the island of Hawaii near Hilo Bay.

    Honolulu International Airport

    • As Hawaii's main airport, several international and domestic airlines fly to Honolulu. American, Alaska Airlines, Continental, Delta, United and US Airways fly to cities throughout the United States, while Air Canada and WestJet operate flights to Canadian destinations. Hawaiian Airlines also operates flights to the U.S. mainland and international destinations in Asia and Australia. International carriers flying to the airport include Air New Zealand, Air Pacific, All Nippon Airways, China Airlines, Japan Airlines, Jetstar Airways, Korean Air, Philippine Airlines and Qantas.

    Kahului Airport

    • Kahului Airport on the island of Maui is served by 13 airlines, as of March 2011. In addition to inter-island flights operated by Hawaiian, Go!, Mokuele Airlines, Island Air and Pacific Wings, Air Canada and WestJet fly to Canadian cities from Kahului. Alaska Airlines, American, Continental, Delta, United, and US Airways link Maui with several American cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle, Denver and San Francisco.

    Kona International Airport

    • On the western coast of the Big Island, airlines fly to cities within the United States and Canada from Kona International Airport. As of March 2011, Air Canada and WesJet fly to Vancouver from Kona. Alaska, American, Delta, Miami Air International (operated for Kona Shuttle), United, and US Airways provide flights to the mainland United States, and Hawaiian operates flights within Hawaii. Go!, Island Air and Mokulele also provide inter-island connections.

    Lihue Airport

    • On the southeast coast of Kauai, domestic and international airlines serve Lihue Airport. As of March 2011, seasonal flights by WestJet to Vancouver are the only international connections from Lihue. Scheduled non-stop flights are provided to the U.S. mainland on American, Delta, United, and US Airways. Flights flown by Hawaiian, Go! and Island Air can reach airports within Hawaii.
