The Specifications for a Astra/Gulfstream SPX Business Jet

The Gulfstream business jet is descended from the Astra, a product of Israeli Aircraft Industries. The Astra was put into production in 1985, with an improved model, the SP, released in 1990. In 1995, the Astra line was completely updated with the SPX, which featured a new avionics system, engine, and wing design. In 2001, after Gulfstream's parent company acquired Astra's company, the Astra was re-branded as the Gulfstream.

    • The G150 had a long range cruising speed of mach 0.75 and range of 3,452 miles, the G200 and the G250 had a long range cruising speed of mach 0.80 and a range of 3,912 miles; the G350 had a long range cruising speed of mach 0.8 and a range of 4,373 miles; the G450 had a long range cruising speed of mach 0.8 and a range of 5,005 miles; the G500 had a long range cruising speed of 0.8 and a range of 6,674 miles; the G550 had a long range cruising speed of mach 0.8 and a range of 7,767 miles, and the G650 had a long range cruising speed of mach 0.85 and a range of 8,055 miles.

    Engines

    • As of 2010, the G150 had a Honeywell TFE731-40AR; the G200 had a PWC PW306A; the G250 had a Honeywell HTF7250G; the G350 and G450 had a RR-Tay Mk 611-8C; the G500 and G550 had a RR BR710C4-11; and the G650 had a BR725A1-12.
