Newark's AirTrain will transport you not only around the airport but also to and from it. AirTrain runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can connect to Manhattan, Philadelphia, airline terminals, hotel shuttles, parking lots and rental car facilities.
As of October 2010, car rental facilities in the airport include Avis, Hertz, National, Budget, Dollar and Enterprise. Vehicles with hand controls are also available.
To connect with LaGuardia airport in New York, use the shuttle bus service. To connect with JFK airport in New York, take the AirTrain.
There is a $5 surcharge on taxi fees during rush hour and on weekends. There will also be an additional charge if you have baggage over 24 inches. Senior citizens who are 62 years old or older receive a 10 percent discount. Rates are valid as of October 2010 and are subject to change.
