Newark Airport Transport Information

Newark Liberty airport is located close to Interstate 95, the New Jersey Turnpike, and has transportation options to get you around the area. From AirTrain to car rentals and van services, there are multiple methods of transport that will get you to Newark Airport.
  1. AirTrain

    • Newark's AirTrain will transport you not only around the airport but also to and from it. AirTrain runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You can connect to Manhattan, Philadelphia, airline terminals, hotel shuttles, parking lots and rental car facilities.

    Car Rental

    • As of October 2010, car rental facilities in the airport include Avis, Hertz, National, Budget, Dollar and Enterprise. Vehicles with hand controls are also available.

    Airport Connections

    • To connect with LaGuardia airport in New York, use the shuttle bus service. To connect with JFK airport in New York, take the AirTrain.

    Taxis

    • There is a $5 surcharge on taxi fees during rush hour and on weekends. There will also be an additional charge if you have baggage over 24 inches. Senior citizens who are 62 years old or older receive a 10 percent discount. Rates are valid as of October 2010 and are subject to change.
