Jetblue Airline Rules

Between federal safety regulations, airport regulations and airline regulations, air travel can be incredibly confusing. There are rules that must be followed for luggage, check-in, security and electronic devices. Knowing the rules ahead of time can aide in smooth travel. JetBlue Airways' regulations are valid as of October 2010 and are subject to change at the airline's discretion.
  1. Luggage Sizes and Fees

    • JetBlue Airways offers one carry-on item, one personal item and one checked item free of charge per passenger. Second checked bags are $30, and all additional bags are $75 each. Bags must be 50 lbs. or less and 62 inches or less, otherwise Overweight or Oversized fees will apply. Bags over 99 lbs. or 80 inches are not permitted.

    Prohibited Items

    • Knives, scissors and other sharp objects are not permitted in carry-on bags. Firearms, explosives and a variety of flammable and chemical items also are prohibited in carry-on bags. Certain items such as explosives and various chemicals also are prohibited in checked bags. A complete list of prohibited items in carry-on and checked bags is available online (see Resources.)
