Airports in Williamson County, Tennessee

Williamson County, Tennessee is home to several airports, including the Nashville International Airport. While Nashville International is the only public airport in the county, several smaller airports provide corporate, regional and private aircraft services and flying lessons.
  1. Nashville International Airport

    • Nashville International Airport features service by 12 airlines and is easily accessible by Interstates 24, 40 and 65. More than 375 flights arrive and depart on an average day from Nashville International Airport. Its three-letter airport code is BNA. All types of parking are available at the airport including short, long-term and economy parking. There is also a rental car facility located onsite. Valet service is also available. Art exhibits are scattered throughout the airport and there are a number of fast food and cafe restaurants including barbecue, American, Mexican and Chinese food on-site. A chocolatier, Harley-Davidson store, multiple newsstands, Kids Works and Opry Originals are just a few of the shops that you can browse while waiting for a flight.

    John C. Tune Airport

    • Located in Nashville off of Interstate 40, John C. Tune Airport is a general aviation airport that serves mostly regional corporate and private aircraft. It is operated by the Nashville Airport Authority and is named after influential Nashville attorney John Tune. The airport opened in 1986 and offers flying lessons as well as paved runways for smaller regional, corporate and private aircraft.

    Shultz Airport

    • Located 11 miles southeast of Franklin, Tennessee, Shultz Airport is a small, private airport for use by single engine airplanes only. No aircraft control tower exists at this airport and permission is required to use its two runways. Runway surfaces are grass and sod with no special treatment. It is most commonly used by flight students and private, recreational flyers or crop dusters.
