Air Macau explains pilots for the airline operate the 16 aircraft in the Air Macau fleet. Pilots must have a minimum of 5,000 flying hours and 1,000 command hours on aircraft they are to command before being employed by the airline.
According to the Pilot Career Center, Air Macau pilots are responsible for flying airplanes on both domestic and international freight and passenger flights. Employment benefits, reported by the Pilot Jobs Network, include an employee pension scheme upon completion of a pilot's contract.
Air Macau reports that in 2009, 939 staff were employed by the airline. Of the pilots employed by the airline, between 15 and 25 percent leave the airline annually, according to the Pilot Jobs Network.
