How do I Get Delta Miles?

Delta, like many airlines, offer programs where you can earn miles in a frequent traveler program. The Delta program is called SkyMiles and there are several ways to earn miles into your account. These miles can be traded in for free flights. Since the lowest number of miles for a free round trip on Delta, within the continental United States, is 25,000, it is smart to take advantage of all of the possible ways to earn miles.

  Sign up for the Delta SkyMiles program if you are not already a member. Membership is free.

  Present your Delta SkyMiles card or SkyMiles number whenever you make a Delta, Delta Connection or Delta Shuttle reservation. Check to make sure your number is on your boarding pass. If it is not, see a ticket or gate agent before boarding your flight.

  Obtain a credit card through the Delta website. This credit card will be tied to your SkyMiles account and you will earn miles when you use your credit card.
