How to Use Greyhound Anywhere Fare in Canada

Since bus travel is usually a cheaper alternative to flying, many Canadians look for deals and discounts on bus tickets. Greyhound offers many special fares and discounts to Canadians. One of these special fares is called the "Go Anywhere Fare," which, as the name implies, is a single fare to travel anywhere within Canada or the United States.

Greyhound's Anywhere Fare is offered to Canadians throughout the year, with the exception of holidays and blackout periods. Senior citizens, students and military personnel are eligible for additional discounts. Here's how to get the lowest prices on tickets.

  Purchase your tickets 7 to 14 days in advance to save up to 52 percent of the original ticket price.

  Buy tickets online (see the link in Resources). E-tickets are only available in larger cities, and certain restrictions may apply. Tickets may arrive in the mail, or they can be picked up at a local Greyhound terminal.

  Buy tickets over the phone. Call (800) 661-8747 to take advantage of the "Go Anywhere Fare." Tickets can only be purchased with a Canadian credit card over the phone.

  Purchase your tickets in person. Locate your local Greyhound terminal (see Resources) and speak with Greyhound personnel about the "Go Anywhere Fare." Tickets can be purchased with cash, debit cards and most major credit cards.
