How to Replace Awning Fabric on a Camper

Many recreational vehicles feature door, window and patio shades constructed from vinyl or acrylic material. Over time, this fabric may age or rip and require replacement. It usually takes years for this to happen, and with proper maintenance the fabric will last longer. To clean these awnings, use a soft brush and mild detergent and water. While cleaning, be sure to check for mildew, which can lead to problems down the road. If you must replace the fabric, it is an easy project to do on your own.
