The 29 Capitol Unlimited travels from Washington to Pittsburgh in approximately eight hours. The 174 Regional (which requires a transfer to the 43 Pennsylvanian train) takes nearly nine hours.

  Relax in comfort aboard the 29 Capitol Unlimited. Amenities include: general reserved adult seats for under $50, Superliner roomettes for an adult for under $200, or a bedroom for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids for under $400. Save money by traveling economy aboard the 174 Regional/43 Pennsylvanian trains. Coach and business seats are available for between $65 and $100.

  If you ordered your tickets online or by phone, pick them up at a ticket agent or at one of the Quik-Trak kiosks that can be found at many Amtrak locations (you'll need to enter your reservation number). If you've booked your trip far in advance, you can also request that your tickets be mailed to you.
