How to Attach a Milk Crate to a Bike Basket

Are you searching for a convenient, cost-effective way to carry stuff on your bike? Often, milk crates are available for free, and even a store brought milk crate is a lot cheaper than a standard bike basket. All you need is a pre-installed bicycle rack and bungee cord in order to create a convenient milk crate basket.

Instructions

      Set the bike upright using a kickstand or by securing it in a bike stand. Position the milk crate on top of the pre-installed bike rack.

      Place the pointed end of the bungee cord into the outermost opening in the create. Continue to thread each end of the cord through the opening and work your way towards the center and allowing the rest of the cord to follow.

      Cross the two ends of the bungee cord beneath the rack. Re-thread one end of the chord through the crate while you hold the other end. Repeat the re-threading with the other end of the bungee cord.

      Hook the bungee cords' ends together to secure them, or secure them on the openings of the crate.
