How to Get a Survey of a Road From PennDOT

Traveling should be a relaxing adventure. When traveling by car, one of many variables that needs to be considered is the road ahead of you. Within the state of Pennsylvania, these roads may go uphill then downhill, stay relatively flat or even be in states of disrepair. You can get in touch with the powers that be within the Department of Transportation for the most up-to-date information on roads, road conditions and any other information needed before you travel.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation website (dot.state.pa.us).

    • 2

Click on "Travel Information" from the PennDOT home page and view any and all traffic alerts that might currently be in effect.

    • 3

Call the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (717-787-2838) if no alerts are available. During this phone call you can request a road survey and ask questions about potential traffic delays or construction that might be encountered along the way.
