How to Charter a Greyhound Bus

Travel by Greyhound Coach is the most popular way of group travel in the United States. Greyhound has updated its terminals and its coaches and launched a campaigned geared at spreading the word about economical travel for both individuals and groups. If your group is thinking about chartering a Greyhound Bus, the following steps will put you on the road in no time.

Instructions

    • 1

Establish a detailed itinerary of cities to be visited, arrival and departure times for each, overnight stays and the use of the coach within each city. Plan to arrange and provide overnight lodging for the driver.

    • 2

Determine the beginning and end dates of the trip. Decide in which cities the trip begins and ends, and the time zones.

    • 3

Be prepared to pay all tolls, parking and entrance fees to public attractions and parks. Assign a specific individual the task of paying the fees on behalf of the group and maintaining receipts.

    • 4

Choose a coach with a capacity of 47 or 55 passengers. Understand that the single fee for the coach is calculated per time or mileage, whichever is greater. Additional fees for tolls, parking and driver lodging are paid as they occur by the event coordinator and are not paid, collected, recorded or invoiced by Greyhound.

    • 5

Contact Greyhound's Convention Sales Services with questions or assistance after the trip is planned or during the trip. Have available the customer number, contract number or trip number. See Sources.
