The Captiva Island Inn features 21 cottages and suites on its property. The largest accommodation is the Celebration House, a 5,200-square-foot structure with five bedrooms, a fully furnished kitchen and an outdoor deck. The bed and breakfast's largest suite is Tristen's Suite, a two-bedroom unit with two bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Tristen's Suite offers views of the Captiva Island Inn's courtyard area. The rates of the units are based upon two guests; each additional guest costs an extra fee.
Guests at Captiva Island Inn have access to a free breakfast at the Keylime Bistro and RC Otters. Breakfast is included with room rates. Both restaurants have lively atmospheres. Breakfast at RC Otters includes seafood quesadillas and bacon & eggs, while the Key Lime Bistro offers the bistro Benedict with two poached eggs, and the Belgian waffle. Keylime Bistro and RC Otters offers year-round outdoor patio seating. Patrons are allowed to enter the restaurant and dine without any shoes. Live music is provided throughout the day at Keylime and RC's.
The bed and breakfast is less than 30 minutes from the J.N. Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island. This refuge is one of the largest mangrove tree forests in the United States. Tourists have access to hiking trails, guided boat tours and bird watching activities. The wildlife refuge has an education center with exhibits based on the park. The park is closed on Fridays.
