Families choosing to camp at Talladega might want to consider Champion's Corner. This park has a strict no-alcohol policy and only allows RV and pull-behind camping. Winners Walk, GEICO East and Legends Lane also do not provide tent spaces, but party animals are welcome to bring their own booze. For tent, RV or pull-behind camping, accommodations can be found at Family Parks A, B, C and D; GEICO West Parks A and B and Pecan Grove. Prices for all reserved parks range from $75 to $280.
The Infield is considered the prime camping location, right in the thick of the action. The sites are priced accordingly, from $273 to $1,650, but the cost does include admission to infield events. Tenters can set up camp at Eastaboga Boulevard, Talladega Boulevard and GEICO Caveman Campgrounds Red and Blue. RVs are allowed at Allison Avenue, GEICO Grounds Orange, Green and Red, Talladega , Eastaboga, and GEICO Frontrunners Clubs I and II. Pull-behinds campers should book for Eastaboga, Talladega and GEICO Green, Red and Orange.
Free camping is a great option for those on a budget. Anyone who has tickets to the Sunday race can camp free all weekend at one of three locations: GEICO North Park, GEICO South Park and GEICO West Park C. All locations allow RVs, pull-behind campers and tents, so choice of shelter isn't an issue. GEICOs North and West C have been designated as "party" atmospheres, so families or those looking for a quieter stay may want to consider bunking at GEICO South instead. All sites are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
For those staying in reserved and free camping sites, race tickets are required to enter the campground. For reserved camping, tickets are separate from the price of the site. Shower facilities are available, as well as RV water and waste stations. Pets are allowed but must be kept on a leash. All sales are final, and there is no refunds in the case of rain.
