Campgrounds in Brackettville, Texas

The city of Brackettville is located in Kinney County, Texas. Visitors to Brackettville can stay in one of two campground here or in one of two campgrounds located no more than 30 minutes away. Family-owned and operated Lonesome Dove RV Ranch is also about 30 minutes from Brackettville and offers 54 sites for tent and RV campers.

    • Fort Clark Springs' tent camping site has showers nearby and barbecue cooking facilities and picnic tables at each site. Most of the campsites in Kickapoo Cavern State Park have water or water nearby as well as restroom facilities. Facilities in this family-friendly park include four bathrooms, showers, a kitchen, a day room and a laundry room. Broke Mill RV Park has a bird-watching area and a dog-walking area, an event center, bathrooms and a laundry facility. Lonesome Dove RV Ranch is a pet-friendly park where you'll find a laundry room, personal mailbox delivery, shower facilities and Internet access.

    • Activities at Fort Clark Springs include creating arts and crafts, attending potluck dinner on Thursdays and an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturdays. In Kickapoo Cavern State Park you can spend the day camping, hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, evening bat flight viewing and a guided wild cave tour. At Broke Mill RV Park you can enjoy swimming in the pool or working out in the fitness center as well as attending pot luck supper and breakfast on Sundays and Wednesdays. In Lonesome Dove RV Ranch you can enjoy playing pool, potlucks on Fridays and bingo and card games.

    • Rates in Fort Clark Springs are based on two people per campsite with rates for members and public fees. An additional fee is charged for each extra person. Kickapoo Cavern State Park charges an entrance fee for each person over the age of 13 and an additional fee for campers. Rates for tent camping in Broke Mill RV Park are the same as RV rates and are based on overnight, weekly, monthly, six-month and 12-month, non-resident rates. You may reserve a campsite at Lonesome Dove RV Ranch's website, and as of January 2011, a coupon worth $2 off for one night is available.
