Cedar Ridge Park

• Cedar Ridge Park, situated along the shores of Lake Belton, has 76 campsites for RVs or tents. Sites include water and electric connections, and a dump station is located on the grounds. The eastern side of the park offers restrooms, showers, a boat ramp, a playground, a fishing dock, a swimming beach and a basketball court. The west side of the park has restrooms, showers, group shelters, a boat ramp and marina. The park also has nature trails, pavilions for large groups and laundry facilities. Basic rates in 2010 and 2011 range from $16 to $36, depending on the type of site.

Belton/Temple/Killeen KOA

• The Belton/Temple/Killeen KOA is located next door to the Bell County Expo Center, which hosts rodeos and the Central Texas State Fair. The campground offers RV sites, tent sites and one-room cabins. The RV sites can accommodate vehicles up to 80 feet; they include water and sewer connections, plus up to 50-amp electric electric hook-ups. The campground has showers, restrooms, laundry facilities and public phones. Wireless Internet access is available on the grounds. A swimming pool is open year-round and a variety of activities are planned for campers, such as a Fourth of July Texas barbecue and potluck dinners. Free coffee is served at the campground's store, which sells groceries and has a propane-filling station.

Lucky's RV Park

• Lucky's RV Park is located 10 miles from Belton, in the town of Temple, It's conveniently located just off Interstate 35, but sits in a quiet area offering shady sites landscaped with flowers. All of the campground's RV sites come with electric, sewer and water hook-ups, plus Internet access. Phone service and cable TV are available. Other amenities include restrooms, showers, laundry facilities and a security fence around the grounds. All of the RV park's streets are paved and lighted. Lucky's RV Park is open year-round and accepts reservations on a nightly, weekly, monthly and yearly basis.
