How to Reserve a Camping Site at Fenton Lake in New Mexico

Fenton Lake is a New Mexico state park located in Jemez Springs at an elevation of 7,900 feet. Canoeing, hiking, sailing, playgrounds and fishing are offered at the park, which also has modern restrooms, picnic tables and handicap-accessible campsites. Reservations can be made anywhere from one day to six months ahead of your stay.

      Go to the New Mexico State Parks website (see Resources). You can also call the park directly and book your reservation at 877-664-7787.

      Choose the location and type of camping site that you need. Click "See details."

      Input your arrival date and the number of nights you will be camping. Click "Book these dates." Sign in to the website with your username and password. If you are not a member, click "Sign up now."

      Once you are signed in, select the type of camping equipment you will be using and input the length of your stay. Input the number of people in your camping party and the number of vehicles that you will have with you. If you have a camping pass, select the one that you have as you may be eligible for discounts. Check the box agreeing that you have read and understand the information. Click "Continue to shopping cart." Your reservation will be displayed, along with the total amount for your stay.

      Click on "Checkout Shopping Cart" if this information is correct. Input your credit card information and click the box acknowledging that you have read the terms. Click on "Complete this purchase." Your confirmation number will be displayed and emailed to you.
