Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, is a nature park featuring a multiplicity of hiking trails, gardens and sporting activities. Although it is possible to rent a room, lodge or log cabin at Callaway Gardens, the closest campground is Pine Mountain RVC, just outside of the nature park. This campground offers RV hook-ups, yurts, cabins, water, electricity, storage, airstream and wireless Internet. It also features a community lodge and various other recreational facilities such as a game room, a playground and bicycle rental. Additionally, the Pine Mountain camp site provides shuttle service directly to Callaway Gardens.

      Determine the type of accommodation you will need. If you simply wish to set up a tent, it will cost between $25 and $28 a night, but if you have a motor home or truck camper, it will cost between $32 and $45, depending on the season and the type of hook-up you choose. Furnished yurts, which include wood floors, heating and air conditioning, can be rented for $35 to $55 a night. A small cabin, which sleeps four people, costs $65 to $80 a night, while a large cabin, which sleeps six, costs between $90 and $110. For more than two guests, there is an extra $2 charge per person, although children under the age of 11 stay free.

      Make reservations. This can be done by calling 706-663-4329 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., or by following the "Reservations" link on the Pine Mountain RVC website. When reserving space, keep in mind that there is a three-night minimum for cabins and yurts, as well as for all camping during holiday weekends. The campground honors military, Good Sam, RVing Women members, AAA and FMCA discounts. If you wish to cancel or change reservations, do so within 10 days of your trip in order to receive a full refund.

      Plan your route before driving to the campground, which is off of I-90, about one hour from Atlanta and three miles from Callaway Gardens. A map of the area is available on the Pine Mountain RVC website, under the "Where We Are" tab.
