The Outdoor World Resort is a members-only campsite, but trial visits for nonmembers are welcome. The site accommodation consists of 54 hook-ups, complete with power and water facilities. The site also has seven model RVs to rent. The site is pet-friendly and tent camping is allowed.
Outdoor World is well-stocked for your camping vacation and includes an on-site ranger station, laundry, parking, restrooms and showers. On-site activities include canoeing, boat rentals, swimming and volleyball. You can also buy supplies from the country store.
While staying at Outdoor World, check out the antique stores in Wilson and the North Carolina Zoological Park. The Lake Gaston area also has annual events including a Memorial Day barbecue, fireworks on the nearest Saturday to the 4th of July, a summer golf tournament and Littleton/Lake Gaston festival on Labor Day weekend.
