At the lake, people can engage in recreational activities that include water skiing, jet skiing, swimming, boating and fishing. The camping resort is also located near the Booth Western Art Museum, the Bartow History Museum, the Grand Theatre, Tellus: Northwest Georgia Science Museum and Etowah Indian Mounds State Historic Site. The campground features a marina, boat launch area, basketball and volleyball courts, a children's playground, a pavilion area with picnic tables and grills, an outdoor swimming pool, a horseshoe pit and a rec room. The campground sells supplies, such as ice, firewood and fishing equipment, at its gift shop. It also has a boat maintenance shop. The camping resort has 140 sites for RV and tent camping, some of which feature extended stay options. Most of the sites feature water and electrical connections. The campground also rents out RV-style homes, which come with kitchens, picnic tables, fire pits and cable TV. The campground is open from Memorial Day until Labor Day.
